HP StorageWorks Cluster Extension EVA is the worlds first, full-site disaster tolerance software solution designed for the mid-range storage or tiered enterprise storage markets. CLX EVA is an integrated solution offering minimal downtime by rapid site recovery with automatic failover of application services and read/write enabling of remotely mirrored storage over metropolitan distances.
HP StorageWorks Cluster Extension EVA specifically integrates with HP Continuous Access EVA and Microsoft Cluster Service. In doing so, CLX EVA is capable of automatically making the decision of whether it is appropriate for the cluster software to failover the application from one cluster node to another and because it also monitors the health of the storage, CLX EVA provides services such as swapping the personalities of the replicated disk pair to enable read/write access to the disaster recovery (DR) group LUNs when necessary.
